3 C’s Roundup: 10/16/15

3 C's Roundup: 10/16/15This is a week of firsts apparently. Yesterday, my first blog swap, today my first roundup! I’ve been seeing so many great posts, verses, pictures, etc. I just couldn’t wait to share!

15-Minute No Sew Infinity Scarf from The Thinking Closet

This is just too cute! And it will be perfect for the no-sewers like me. I do not have a sewing machine and no way do I have the patience to go it by hand. This video tutorial project will be fun a fun and cheap way to spice up my fall wardrobe!

pore-strips1How to Make Your Own Pore Stripsย from Le Petite Elephant

My husband and I tried out these homemade strips. I was blown away! It removed all the blackheads on our noses. It didn’t smell great, but with only two ingredients, it cost less than $1 for the two of us. To me this is a two thumbs up!

And I just have to share my biggest accomplishment this week! For those of you who don’t know, my husband and I have been traveling (for work) every week and some weekends since June! We’re finally starting to be at home… well, at least as much as we travel.

The problem is the house. It had become a disaster zone. We simply weren’t home enough to keep it clean. And when we were home we just sat all of our things everywhere. It was bad.

Real bad.

Two weekends ago we got the downstairs whipped in to shape. But last weekend, we tackled the office. One room versus the whole downstairs doesn’t sound that bad right? Wrong. For five months we had the same conversation: “Where does this go?” “I dunno. Put it in the office.”

It grew into this monster: (and that’s not even the worst part!)

3 C's Roundup: 10/16/15

So last week, we sharped our swords and slew the dragon. I am now the proud owner of this spotless room:

And you didn’t even see the best part: the closet! Everything is organized in soon-to-be-labeled, easily accessible tubs and bins. It is an order I can keep up. Now the room is a perfect blank canvas for that redo on my to-do list.

I hope you enjoyed my first roundup as much as I did. Have a wonderful weekend!

That’s on my list too! I want to build a tea wall in my kitchen ๐Ÿ˜€ it will likely have to wait until early 2016 though with the amount we’ve got on our list!

Wow, good work on cleaning your office! Our office is always the messiest room in our house too… we need to tackle it as well.

The no-sew scarf might become my go-to Christmas gift for those impossible to buy for people.

Come on, we all have them!

I think I will get cheap Walmart tees, clothing dye for customization (how about tie dye? hmmmmmm!) and have at it.

Great job with the office! I need to do the same thing to our bedroom, and I just keep putting it off. I love that no-sew infinity scarf. I don’t have a sewing machine either.

Those DIY pore strips sound like fun! We love to have “mask nights” and that would be a great addition to our routine!

Thanks! I think it took us about 5 hours for the complete overhaul. It was ridiculous but now it makes me so happy!
