Adventures and Victories Week 9

Adventures and Victories Week 9

Hi everyone! How are you doing this fine Friday? It’s been a busy week for me, but a good one. If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know that I’m ramping up for the launch of Sketchy Tacos–my YA travel novel that will be released on February 7. I am beginning my SHOUTING FROM THE ROOFTOP phase. Because I’m super excited… so excited that I might have gone a little overboard on the creation of merchandise front–not to sell, just for me :). Be sure to check out my Instagram page. They can print on all sorts of things now. It’s pretty cool.

Vicarious Adventure: This week I’ve really been enjoying There You’ll Find Me by Jenny B. Jones. It’s been a couple months since I’ve flown through a book, but this one has picked me up and carried me away to the land of Ireland. The writing is excellent and the adventure is one worth taking.

Shared Victory: Sunday night, I’m sitting home alone watching a movie. It’s pitch black outside and the doorbell rings. At this point, I’m super creeped out, but I can’t just not answer because the front window is open and they’d have seen that I’m there. So I very cautiously answer the door, and my husband pokes his head in! He got back from his business trip a week early. I was so incredibly happy!

Aerobic Adventure: After testing out our friends’ game, we got Just Dance 2017. It’s a great way to get some exercise in these cold winter months without having to pay a gym fee. (We’re trying to cut back on all our monthly subscriptions).

Outreach Victory: As part of my Sketchy Tacos launch plan, I wanted to do some guest posts to spread awareness outside of my personal circle. I was nervous because I haven’t done much guest posting before, but I’ve been absolutely blown away by the response I’ve received. The bloggers I’ve reached out to have been so kind and generous. It’s warmed my heart! What a great experience.

Long-term Adventure: Last week I talked about how I finished the outline for Book 2 in the International Adventures series. Well now, based on the advice of my awesome mentor, Nancy Rue (you should totally check out her books!), I’m planning out the entire International Adventures series. How does Germany, Britain, and Italy sound? I don’t know about you, but I’m excited for these next adventures.

Last-Minute Major Victory: I know I usually only do five, but late last night I created an awesome book trailer all by myself! I could not be more excited!!! It’s super cool, and I would absolutely love if you could check it out!
